It's central, less expensive, has more developable land and offers untility and tax benefits. Here is an article that talks more about the racing industry's affiliation with Brownsburg.

Brownsburg has actively embraced the Racing business.  They are centrally located so their cars can go any where in the country.  Its cheaper to run a shop In Brownsburg then in Southern California due to Tax and Utility incentives.  Homes are cheaper for the crew families. Its a win win situation for both the Race teams and the town of Brownsburg.
