Why does it appear that there are so many homes for sale in the Los Alamitos/Rossmoor area?

The fact that there are so many homes for sale and all seem very high considering those that are not.  Is this area not a good investment/move at this time?

Hi,

It depends what your definition of "investment" is.  The prices in Rossmoor are high, compared to other areas, but the area has all of the desirable factors to justify higher prices.  If you're looking for a good lender in the area, my office is in Rossmoor on Old Ranch Parkway.  Let me know if I can help.

Good luck!

I grew up around this area.  The home prices are ridiculously high.  I wouldn't invest money in this area, never, unless the home prices came down to earth.  It's like trying to buy something in Burbank... craziness.

Hi,

Los Alamitos, and especially Rossmoor, are high-income areas and they have a high-performing school district as well. Other than some condominiums behind the Shops at Rossmoor though, you can tell that homes prices are rather high and you'd be pressed to find many SFR's below 700K.

In terms of an investment, you'd have to crunch the numbers to see if you can cash flow from a rental, but if you can afford to move to Los Alamitos or Rossmoor, you should consider yourself lucky!
Let me know if you have any questions about the city, or Seal Beach or the entire north Orange County area.

Good luck and hope you are happy wherever you buy!
