Why does my property have a white diagonal line through it, which extends through other homes too?

The white line is a straight line that splits through the standard white outline of the property lines, and it goes through other people's properties that are also aligned with the path of this white line--what does it mean?

Without looking at the title of the specific properties, it is hard to tell from the map.  Sometimes it is just lots that have been combined and subdivided.

Other times, it is utility easements, such as for water supply.  (Normally those wouldn't go underneath a house though).

Other times it is county lines or Zip code boundaries.

For this specific case, it appears that two large ranches were combined, and then subdivided into tracts.

Ask your agent for a "plot map" of the block... it will show the legal description as well as lot that where "joined".  It should also have dimensions on it.

Thanks for your answer--but please look at 9102 N Safflower Lane, Tucson, Az and see what I am looking at.  All the adjacent properties have the expected property lines, whereas this property (and all the others that are aligned with this line) have an additional line through the property that appears to cut through the traditional property lines.

Its probably a property line, Property lines in Zillow are approximate only, and not exact.
