Why does the average price per square foot say $48. for Santa Fe...walking distance to the Railyard?

I think that is a mistake. $48/sq ft is way too low to be true!

An additional thought.  An appraiser -- if he/she wants to lowball someone, might say that each additional square of their home is worth some ridiculously low figure and then use much smaller houses as comparables. 

But even so -- I don't think an appraiser would be so brazen as to assign this low a figure in the railyard district.

Agree with Great Santa Fe -- $48 is off the wall.  You can go twenty miles and NOT find anything livable for twice that price.

Whoa, I don't where you got that figure ($48)  from. I just did a search and can tell you that the average square foot price for single family homes within walking distance to the Railyard (say 1/4 mile) is $318.53. The lowest price /sf now is $200.
