Why doesn't the owner of the house respond to my email?

I'm looking for houses for rent, and when i find one i immediately contact the owner by using the "contact the owner" box on the right hand side of the screen. But nobody ever replys back. what am i doing wrong? are there some other ways to contact the person or do i need other settings? is zillow just a joke???

Check the number of days on Zillow as an indicator.  If the listing is fresh (in the single digits still), there may be a chance.   Not all landlords remove their listings.
