Why don't people contact you back??

I have probably contacted close to a hundred people on here and have only gotten responses from maybe 10. None of which have worked out. I never dreamed it would be this hard to find a house to rent! Hoping something works out soon or I will be commuting 6 hours a day 5 days a week. :(

In Long Beach, California, residential rental properties are listed on the local MLS.  Your best bet is to hook up with a local Realtor who represents renters (they'll get a commission).  This Realtor will look for you, to help you find a "best fit" property, help you with the lease, etc.  If you are trying to do it all by yourself, it can be quite difficult.

Sorry you are having such an issue.
The rental market is competitive but there is no reason why it should take 100 attempts to reach 10 people.
Have you tried the Gazette they usually have active rentals in the Long Beach Area. If you need any help feel free to contact me.

Oh that must be frustrating April!

If I were you, I would contact an agent by phone, if you have not had luck via email. Some "un-tech" savy agents don't have their accounts set up correctly and often do not know that they have recieved contacts from prospective clients.

I hope you find a great agent and a great home!! Good Luck!

Kind Regards,

Good luck with your search.   Have you sorted the rentals by "days on Zillow"?    The fewer the days, the more likely it is still available.

You might give Craigslist a try. In Portland, people have great success with rental properties on that site.
