There are a couple things to note here. 1st, Texas is a non disclosure state. 2nd, our data source for that area is no longer available. We're investigating alternatives to bring zestimates back for the Austin area, but don't have a specific time table as to when we'll get them back up.
Sorry I don't have a better answer for you right now.

It appears that Zestimates are back for Austin. If staff is reading this, "Thank you."

Enough with the spam links Austin agent. If you can't play nice, take your ball and go home.

Texas is a non-disclosures state and a lot of the Zillow Zestimates in Austin were way off and creating a lot of questions and concerns with the people who frequent the discussion boards.
Because sales are not reported as public information Zestimates are often way off the mark here in Austin. If you have a home in the [content removed by moderator] area you can go [content removed by moderator] for a free market report. The report will list homes currently listed and mapped in your neighborhood and also show recently sold comparable homes as well.

In my opinion, if one embraces capitalism, then one should strive for transparency in marketplaces. It's what makes investing in this country unlike investing in Russia and China.
Mortgage.com has them. and the sales are to the day.

Can't they use the value the county uses for tax assessments. I'll bet that's pretty good data.

I have the same question, why no longer posted? Plenty of disclaimers that these are not set in stone accurate, but they were generally on target for my neighborhood.
Second, if this service can't or won't continue for Austin, I am interested in knowing the approximate value of my home on a monthly basis, does anyone have another site that offers this?

I think it's a conspiracy to keep the information offline and in the exclusive hands of agents, but then I'm naturally suspicious.

Winsor,
Not sure if my answer will be correct or what you want to hear, but they are simple guesses as to valuses since Texas is a non-disclosure state. Voters voted on this and did not want their values disclosed to the general public, so maybe Zillow removed them since they are so far off. I have seen them off $2,000,000 or more, and I know of several like that. I have one listed at $3,500,000, and the neighbor next door is listed at $277,000 in value. I know the lot alone next to it has a house on it and lot value alone is app. $650,000...
