Why is Boise, Idaho one of the BEST places to live?

I just spent the last week in the Boise National Forest on an amazing adventure. My camp was located a mere 60 miles from my home in Eagle, ID and it took 1 hour and 15 minutes to get there. It is amazing to live in an area that you can be at world class restaurants one minute, and then literally a little over an hour away you can be in the most beautiful solitude you have ever witnessed! Boise, ID has so much to offer - downtown is thriving, the housing here is amazing, the people are incredible, and the recreation opportunities are unmatched anywhere.

Bette Defarm - the State Flower is the Syringa, Bird is the Mountain Blue Bird (I don't remember teh Motto).  4th grade Idaho history was a long time ago.  Sorry about Jeff and his spam post.   Idaho is state full of down to earth self reliant people.  We love the outdoors - hunting, fishing and don't mind working hard.  Great State and Great People!  Go Boise State!
