Why is my home compared to the properties on the lake here. Those properties are worth less money .

Having been a tax assessor in town and in R.E. a while ago; I know that the comaparison properties you are useing are not correct.  They are in an area that is depressive and home values have never kept up to the town values.  Therefore I don't feel that your home value estimates are not very accurate.

You can generally assume Zillow's home values are not accurate - they've basically automated the whole system, and data is fed in however they can get it.  It is nothing like a true appraisal and should not be relied on as such.
