Why is my home listed as two units and how do I remove a duplicate entry?

Profile picture for bucklerhome
When I type in the address of my home, it comes up twice and is therefore categorized as two units.  I would like to remove one so that it will be clear that it is a single-family home.  I have claimed ownership of both entries because they are the same home.

this is not acceptable. Zillow does affect the price of homes. My house is also on 2 parcels and it's listed as 2 separate properties with similar dimensions and different ages. I think this would be a good class action ssuit against Zillow.com. Please send me your e-mail address if you have a similar problem. ghalmos@gmail.com

Usually this occurs when someone lists the home with a small discrepancy so that the address is not properly reconciled.

If one of them doesn't have the country record data (use the "more facts" button to see), that is the one that can be removed.

Use the "report a problem" button under the edit pull down tab under the main picture on the home details page, and explain the problem there.

It sometimes takes several weeks to correct a discrepancy.

And by the way, a similar problem can occur with two separate parcel numbers for the property, as each will have county record data.  If it is two parcels, Zillow has no way presently to combine them.
