it's good to see that you have a response from Zillow to your zestimate question. Not sure it actually helps you but at least it's an improvement on being totally ignored as many posters in the past have discovered. You need to be persistent and not let Zillow 'fob you off' with just words. Don't let them impose an unwanted erroneous valuation on your beautiful home without questioning what their motives are in refusing you the right of any appeal when that unwanted zestimate is totally incorrect.

Hi TMaxx,
Michelle, Sharon and Vince offer some good basic information on our Zestimates. I've taken a look at your claimed home(beautiful home, by the way!) but it's hard for me to shed any light on your Zestimate relative to another without knowing the other property. Feel free to contact me directly(through my profile) to share, if you'd like.
In general, if comparing two properties, in addition to some of the characteristics Michelle mentions, you'll also want to have a look at Last Sold info(eg price, date) and tax assessments, as well as overall Zestimate coverage and accuracy metrics for your region. Of particular relevance in your case is that we do not directly account for the many upgrades and related aspects your home seems to have and which you highlight in your home's description. I'd also invite you to highlight this in your Zestimate Comment. And given that it seems you've made recent changes to your home, please also ensure that your basic home facts are current. Let me know if you need any help with doing either/both.
Thanks for using Zillow!

"This is common in Zillow, and does not mean your home is worth less - dont panic."
Just because it is common on zillow doesn't make it right. It's outrageous that homeowners have no right of appeal over incorrect valuations of their property and it's about time zillow either implemented a zestimate correction process or enabled homeowners to opt out of a zestimate being shown. This 'zestimate is a starting point' is just nonsense and needs to stop.

Consider going in and updating your home information, it may not be accurate and that is what is affecting the ZESTIMATE. Hope this helps.

It's hard to say without seeing both properties. There are so many determing factors. You indicate your lot is bigger and you have a pool & spa. Other factors that may make a difference are square footage of your home, number of bedrooms & baths, do you have a view, is the lot flat or is it on a slope. If you are using an internet site to determine value it will never be accurate. The value is really what a buyer is willing to pay for it so unless you are planning on moving I wouldn't believe the price difference would be much.

This is common in Zillow, and does not mean your home is worth less - dont panic. Youll only know how much your home is REALLY worth if and when you sell it.
