Why is my zestimate dropping like a stone?

Nothing has gone wrong since I bought this house. We are remodeling a bathroom is all. Taxes are paid, and the loan on the house is about 50% of appraised value. So why in the hell has the value of my house fallen 18% when nothing else around us has? You guys are sadly mistaken, and I will seek further action if this is not re-evaluated at once.

Zillow can not see your house so their information mainly comes from public records and sales trends. They are not appraisals and they tend to fluctuate a lot more than the actual market does for each house.

Are all of your home facts and past recorded sales correct? Those are key to making sure that your Zesitmate at least stays in the ballpark and errors can really impact that number so they are worth updating. A local agent will have a much better idea about your house value than Zillow can and most are happy to give you an estimate based on recent sales.
