Hi llbrown5 -

Zestimate is only a starting point in determining a home's market value that is computed using a proprietary formula based on sales information in the area and public records. It's hardly an appraisal. You have an option to post your own estimate and leave a description of the property in which you can include the renovations done on your home.

For other helpful information, please visit our Zillow Help Center.

Thank you.

Zillow's estimating method has no means to do anything about "renovations" except for adjust the square footage, and bedroom & bathroom count.  The estimating method assumes "average condition" as there is no means to measure relative condition without personally entering every single home in the United States.

Please be aware that if you change the size or bed/bath counts, it usually takes about 2 months before fully impacting the estimates.

See "what is a Zestimate".

Zillow provides a space for you to post your own estimate and explanation on the home details page.
