Why is the information on my home not correct??

I have looked up several of my family's and of course myself homes and most of the information you have is way off base like # of bedrooms and baths. You used to have more accurate records. What has happened? No one that I have looked up has moved in the past 5 + years. Thanks

if you need instructions on how to claim it and edit the details just check the zillow faqs

however, updating it on zillow won't correct tax records with bad info.  there are many websites that get their info from tax records. best to fix the source.

You can increase the accuracy of the information by providing Zillow with the correct information. Since no one has has a home on the market for quite sometime...there is a good chance that the information was never managed correctly from the onset by selling Realtors.

your best bet would be to also check the tax records for those homes, most of the info on zillow comes from public records, so if those are wrong, zillow and yahoo will also be wrong.  when they are for sale or someone has claimed them then the info gets updated.  If that's not the case, then it's liikely the public records.   If you find that zillow info doesn't match the ppublic records then you'll want to contact them on the specific property because that means something went wrong with the feed from the public source.
