When Zillow allows the purchase price the current seller paid to be removed or non obtainable this becomes like or less than any other real estate web site. The transparency of the market for the consumer was Zillow's strength, I guess the realtors pay to keep the information difficult to obtain.

If there is a particular property that you want to know about send me the address, the TMK, or some identifying characteristic and I would be happy to send you the purchase history of the past owners. Our site, HawaiiLife.com has this information in its database forproperties across the state of Hawaii, including the island of Kauai.Unfortunately, MLS rules and regulations do not allow us to displaythis information without certain requirements.

1) You must be a verified person (meaning you've created an account with us and we've verified your email),
2) You must be one of our clients (either as a seller or signing a buyer's representation agreement),
3) The password for your HawaiiLife.com account must be updated every 3 months.

We are working to update our website to meet these MLS requirements. We hope to have this info available by summer 2009.
