Wife getting a new job effect Approval Process?

My wife and I have been out of school for about two years, we collectively make around 130k annually.  She is looking at a new job opportunity and would prefer to buy rather then rent in her new job location.  My question is would we have any trouble getting approved for roughly 200k loan with 20k down payment?  Also, looking at a 15 year fixed mortgage.  I don't know how her starting a new job will effect the process.  Thanks for your help in advanced!

It will only affect the new loan if she is transferring to another industry of work and if your income alone wouldn't qualify.  If it's in the same industry you shouldn't have an issue.  If I can help you with a 1 hour pre-approval please contact me through my profile.  Let me know if you have any further questions.

If your wife is staying in the same line of work, there is no issue with her switching jobs.  The lender will simply need 30 days of pay-stubs from her new position to qualify at her new base salary.

If she is starting another salaried job in a similar or same industry, it shouldnt make a difference in the underwriting process.  As long as she is making the same income.  I would be happy to help pre-qualify you for the upcoming purchase.  Joanna Weiss  [deleted by Zillow moderator.
