The market in Massachusetts is now staple and will stay that way for next 112 months. AFfter that we hope to start seeing the prices to start rising. So if you do not have to sell, do not, wait, review the value in September, 2011.

You certainly can't foresee the future. However your home will most likely sale for the approximate price of what the last 3-4 homes sold in your area that are built similar to yours in the last 3 months.
There are people that list below the current market price to allow a bidding war to bring price up. The price most likely will end up around the current market price anyway.
Waiting could mean losing more money.Good Luck

You cannot predict how the market will turn. If you are happy with what you are getting then go ahead. If you are moving up then it is better to lose some to make a lot more on other end. All depends upon your situation.

Wait or not to wait ? That is the question! It is always recomended to push off putting a house on market till close to summer ( as in end of may beginning of June). But longer wait who know what will happen in the world next.

Hi Joe former zip agent here it really all depends on what you want to do. If you sell now and buy you are going to be buying in the lower market also. So truly it is what is best for you. All the answer are great here good luck.

It depends on what you are waiting for. There are alot of factors that can impact the sale of a home such as interest rates for buyers, the economy, current market values in your neighborhood (are there recent short sales or foreclosed properties)? Trying to "time the market" is difficult at best. You may want to talk to an agent to go over your situation and determine when the time is right for you to sell.

If you are even thinking of selling now is the time rather than later. No one has a crystal ball but if interest rates go up home prices will go down to reflect this according to many studies out. We have yet to even stabalize in home prices in many areas which even further indicates that home values will not be rising. So with that being said do not wait for values to change in an upward direction as incomes are not going up currently so that in turn means housing in order to be affordable needs to be continuly priced that the public can afford.

Depends on how your local real estate market is trending. If the present trend is up, the answer to your question may well be yes, provided it continues to trend up. If the opposite is true, waiting will not bring a better price.

It's the Law of Supply & Demand that influences the sale of practically everything.
Therefore the first question for you is, how many properties are for sale in your area? Real estate prices have declined in many areas
throught out the country during the past couple of years given the overall state of the economy. One hopes the economy will improce & prices will increase again but I'm no fortune teller.
Another question might be why do you want to sell? If it is for relocation purposes, you might sell the property for less than you want, but remember that you will also, most likely be buying at a lower price & mortgagte rates are still at historical lows.
Gooid Luck

I made a mistake. I thought I was answering agents question whether or not I was an agent. I am new to this site. Which is worse the mistake or the fool with nothing better to do than criticize just for the contribution?
Am I a DB, if I post questions then answer them myself? yes!

Trying to increase your contributions by posing a question and answering it is a bit unethical... Monitoring actual discussions and contributing is probably a better way.

In general, no. However, if you have lots of clutter to remove from the home, decorating you should do (such as removing wallpaper and painting) and repairs you need to make, then you should be able to sell at a higher price by waiting until your work is done.
