Will Zillo use licensed appraisal for home value

Hello,
Your website has our home at 1731 Tomahawk Trace, Fremont, Ohio, at $168,000. We purchased the home back in 2003 for $219,000. Since then, we have put in around $50,000 of home improvements and had the home appraised at $250,000 in 2008 when we refinanced. I know that the housing market has taken a hit in the last couple oof years, but do not believe that our home should be listed on your website for $168,000. I'm sure that the value has dropped some since then, but not to the level that you have it listed at. Would Zillo honor the full appraisal price if it is done by a licensed appraiser?

Thanks again,
Rick Lindenberger

A Zestimate is a number generated by a statistical algorithm using public facts.  The best way to make sure your Zestimate is as accurate as possible is to make sure all facts are correct (i.e. claim your home and edit the facts), good comps are used, and when the "my estimate" feature comes back on line fill it out completely.

If you wish to share your appraisal, then you can add its number (along with the date of the appraisal) in the comments section once you've claimed your home. I'd only bother if it has been done within the last three months and you were putting it on the market.   (It is not part of the statistical algorithm).
