Will an FHA appraiser have to return, and will he charge for a return trip?

There are 6 items that will affect the FHA appraisal.  I am trying to take care of each before scheduling an appraisal.  Suppose the appraiser calls something else out like a small hole in the wall with wiring access behind where the recreation center stood.  Or a broken shower head, or shower door that doesn't slide right.  Will that situation then call for a return visit?  Or can I just take pictures and email them to the appraiser?  The appraisal is $450, so is that including a return visit?

I have never seen an appraiser return and not charge again.

Any FHA required repairs have to be re-inspected and yes, they charge for the re-inspection.

Costs are set by a third party - an AMC - appraisal management company - not by the appraiser, per se. AMCs work for the lender, and it kinda depends how strict the lender is. It all varies between lenders and AMCs. The appraiser is not going to make much coming back over and over again, but just make sure any issues that the original FHA appraiser calls out are taken care of and you should be good. The usual charge for an appraiser to reinspect the property to confirm all issues have 'cured' is $75.
