Will the new braves stadium increase my property value? And how close do I need to be to show value?

Several people are asking this question. For a single family home or a condo I do not see any increased value. Likely a negative due to traffic. If you have a real upscale Condo you could rent to Corporations or even to out of town players you may be on to something profitable but in general I just wouldn't bet on it.

Depends on the buyer and zoning laws.

How did the stadium do for the area that it's finally leaving? How about the GA Dome, how are the areas around it doing after all these years? How will they be doing after the money is wasted on a new place for them? That answers your question. Value is not derived from a single entity like a stadium, it is derived from a multitude of things that people actually place a priority on.

Cobb County is infinitely better run than Fulton County so you are well ahead to begin with. This move is good for the team, good for the area and good for the fans. I would not however, expect to place a tangible "added this much" to any home - rather, done right (which Cobb County tends to do) this will be another point to brag about for the county.

I was very happy to see a team with the balz to actually get out of that area and get closer to the fan base.

Hi Bhailu0429,
I am very optimistic on what the new Braves Stadium will do to all property value in the area.  If you've been to a Braves game you know how much of a family affair they make it, with their activities between innings, etc.  I expect that same theme to continue at their new stadium which should only add to the benefit of living in Cobb Co.

Cobb county is not a large county so I do not expect distance from the stadium to play a part in property value,  unless you're right on top of it and the noise, and traffic are an issue.

Thanks,
Eric
