There is no good word! Pooh! It's between our house and another and looks like the other is going to win out. They love love love our house but what is killing us is the fact that we live right by an apartment complex. It's not a trashy one but it's not upscale. But that is always the reason we lose out when we are on someones list!

I wish we could! Where is Alpine when we need him - he could always set it on fire! J/K! It just sucks because so many people love our house but that is always the concern and it's something that we can't do anything about! Mckylie: I was hoping and wishing for you....i know how you feel, if that helps. We lost our offer two weeks ago. So it's back to square one! We also live near a busy interstate and it is a concern for some regarding this fact.
Yesterday our showing cancelled (but we didnt get notified--the RE office said they left a vm) and we did not know. UGH!
And i have a showing at 9am Tuesday--talk about early!

Mckylie, how utterly frustrating! So sorry, but remember all the reasons you initially bought for and know that there will be someone who sees it the same. Big hugs from the sellers circle. Hang in there and know that someday you will be looking back on all this. Maybe someday we'll all be old gummers sitting around telling our grandkids about the hard times back in 08. Do something nice for yourself today. Cleaning is not an option LOL.

Thanks wannago and DD! To be honest with you - I never gave the apartments a second thought when we bought! I just loved the house so much! Still like it a lot but I am really regretting living by the stupid apartment right about now!

Hang in there. It is a pity that the apartment is there, and probably it has a much more substantial impact in this buyer's market. Have you priced appropriately to account for the apartment, or are you using comps that don't take that into account?

We had a really good showing yesterday. They came over and I was almost done cleaning for our Open House but the place looked pretty good. We went over to the neighbors while they were here. They left and went over to a house accross the street so we came home. A little while later I was outside and they walked out of the neighs house and stood in front of our driveway. I asked them if they wanted to come back in and they did. They had a lot of questions and were really interested. As they were upstairs their Realtor asked our situation because they want a quick closing. As they left the wife said we have a beautiful house. So, I am crossing my fingers that these are our buyers!!!!!
