Would i be able to get approved?

I am 18 yrs old and would love to buy my first home. I have lived in apartments and do not want to do it again. I don't have any credit really and i'm young.. I know this will affect my chances of getting a home but by how much? and is it possible?

Don't let anyone tell you that you can not do something.  If you are ready to buy, go for it!  As far as I know, you are legally about to purchase a house.  I start working when I was 16 and was looking at purchase a home but people told me not to.  By the way, the house is on the lot where North Pointe Mall sits now.  Go for it!  And you should be proud of your self!

Buying a house tends to a be a several step process.

There are several items considered in getting a mortgage loan:

a.  Credit history.

b.  Employment history (at least two years)

c.  Income vs debts.

d.  Down payment available.

It is unusual at 18 for someone to have a good credit score (if any) because of so little (or no) history of use of credit.   So, perhaps the first step is to start understanding what is required to develop a good credit score and taking the steps to build it up.   That would also give time to build up a good down payment.

Good luck.
