You need to change lot size from sq. ft to acres in the search criteria. Realtors mess this up alot

I am searching for home with acreage for horses and when I do advanced criteria search for "lot size" it is usually a flawed search with many false results because of the way zillow has "sq. foot of lot" instead of "acres" preference.  Homes on small subdivision lots will show up as huge acreage tracts obviously because of the confusion caused by the way the search criteria is calculated out. This waste tons of time for those of us hunting homes with land pouring through listings that really do not match our search criteria.  I suppose the mess up is because realtors listing the property are not calculating the "square foot" of the lot correctly.  Why can you not just have an acreage option?

I one hundred percent agree. I also wish they would add a specific features option like most sites have the option for. For instance I want a pool and the only way to search for a pool is to put "pool" in the key word search. That doesn't work well because then every add that says neighborhood pool or near pool comes up....beleive it or not that is far more than actual homes with a pool.

Probably, less than five percent of the Country measure lot size in square feet. For Zillow to apply that logic, to all 100 million, of their database of homes, is let's say, goofy, at best. More techie disassociation with the realities of the Real Estate Market, a market for which Zillow claims expertise.

Tell me about it! I can't believe this is the #1 iphone app and they still don't show acreage. What's the deal, seems it would be an easy value add...I am going to quit using your site and app until you start showing acreage. Other sites do, let me know when you get up to speed. Sorry but the guy above requested this 9 months ago...
