How can a Zillow value hurt you? Reputable companies/entities have other accurate outlets to secure market values. They don't check Zillow for guesses.

Your value is related to the price you paid for the house. A short sale is still a legitimate sale that is used in appraisals of all kinds and all automatic online estimates like Zillow.
There are houses around you right now that are selling for less per square than you paid in 2010. That is the situation in many areas right now so you are not alone, but your value is not what Zillow says and not what an agent says. it is what a buyer on the open market will pay. I would recommend appealing your taxes. That might be a way for you to save significant money every month.

Hi Vijay. Zillow has its own method of computation to determine a property's market value. This Zestimate has no impact on the true fair market value of your property. As a realtor, we have our own set of computations when determining your property's fair market value. We never rely on a Zestimate. I recommend that you get a realtor to give you a free comparative market analysis (CMA). A realtor will look at many factors including the number of bedrooms, bathrooms, location of property, etc. You will get a better indication of what the fair market value of your property really is. Good Luck!

Take HomeSand.net's advice. But, besides just correcting the lot size, update as much information as possible.
The more information you provide Zillow, the better chance you will have at receiving an accurate Zestimate.
Zillow gets their data from your county recorders office and they rely on homeowners and agents to update or correct any inaccuracies.

Zillow has incorrect lot size information, therefore your Zestimate may not be correct, claim your home on Zillow and edit the incorrect lot size which may affect your Zestimate in a few weeks to a few months by open your home detail page, hover your mouse on the pencil edit menu and click on the 'Claim your home' then click on the 'Edit home facts'.

First, with all due respect, how are you being hurt?
Second, if you bought the property at $430,000, then that's what it was worth when you bought it. That was the market value. If you'd paid more, then the market value would be higher. We know for a fact what your house is worth in today's market. What's less certain is what your neighbors' houses are worth. (And if they're comparable to yours, then theirs are worth about what you paid for yours.)
