Your system values our home far below what a qualified appraiser valued it at. Can you update?

Your system  had our home listed as 2 bedrooms and less than an acre.  We updated it to reflect that it actually had 4 bedrooms and two full baths and 7 acres.  Yet your value of the home did not even increase by 2 percent. A professional appraiser has it listed much higher.  How can we get this fixed?

Someone asked why does this matter?  It matters because a second appraiser for a home equity loan application came up with just about the exact same figure as Zillow. We think the appraisal company just looked it up online and did not even do a drive by or call to verify the real information about the property. We complained to the finance agent and they sent an actual person out to review the property.

Why do you need this "fixed?"....  Zillow's "guess" will not be used to establish a purchase price or for value on a refinance. Only appraisals like yours count. You know it's worth. Why does the world have to know?

Correct, there are several (maybe dozens?) of ways in the internet world for sites to GUESS at your homes market value.

Without a human being personally inspecting the subject and at least the exterior of all the comparable sales, it's just a guess at best.

It doesn't matter what zillow says your home is worth. It's just loose info based on public record. If your Appraiser says the home is worth $X, then it's worth $X.

No worries.  ; )
