I'm apply for the refinancing 2 weeks ago and last week the bank let someone do the appraisal on my house, I hadn't know the result yet, if the refinancing get through then the new rule is good, if not, it's no good!

Appraisal management companies are shell games for large banks. It was nice of their lobbyists to secure this new way for banks to siphon $$ away from appraisal practice and fatten their wallets. The story ended nicely but I'm thinking that's because the buyer is an attorney, me or you would be ___out of luck. The politicians who passed this bill likely never read the bill but somehow they'll be rewarded, nice. If they had something similar to respa for lobbying in washington our country would be much better off.
