Index currently states that it reflects values and transactions through 10/31/2010.  However the most recent value of the index is shown to be as of 10/1/2010.  Please confirm that values are indeed as of 10/1/2010 (a fairly unusual valuation day for financial data).  Thanks

The accuracy of the Zillow's Zestimates and statistics are as a guideline and should not be associated as a true number of a home's valuation.  Tracking the closing numbers are the only true gauge of what markets can expect to fetch.  As always, you will have a hard time of things trying to make sense of an older home's value without the insight of someone familiar with the market.  You would be better suited looking at the national board of realtors numbers and tracking mean area salaries or average income levels with the component of unemployment percentage to gather the true trend.
