The CHDAP program is back effective June1 st It stands for California Homebuyers downpayment assistance program. I fyou qualify for first time buyers they will contribute 3% down you have to come up with 1/2 %. You pay it back when you sell or refi. Not bad!!!!

As a full time realtor for the past 10 years here in Las Vegas I ask that question to our in house, Wells Fargo, lender who tells me that Wells Fargo has a modified version of the $0 down payment but it's only for the Culenery Union workers no one else.
Neameiah is trying to be restructured but isn't due back in the market for a few months.

Especially as the original poster seems to be long gone!!!!!

Besides, why do cross collateral, when one can just get a loan on the other property separate, and use the money any way they like??? (Yes, one still needs to look at debt to income ratio..., and loan to value ratio...)

And as far as "Zero down", there are those FHA foreclosures now that are being re-sold at present market value with only $100 down. Can't get much lower than that! But that was not available back in May, so one reason for revisiting the question. But that seems to have little to do with the original question.

So a "first time home buyer" in California has an empty lot in Hawaii?

to answer your question there are some investors that will use cross collateral to finance your loan but the collateral has to be very liquid and worth 1000% of your need.

The only loans available with zero down are VA loans and certain rural loans, even when there is plenty of collateral.
