We have three sources of geo-points which determine where a home shows up on the map. Once we receive house location, street map, and satellite image data from different sources, we place these layers of data on top of each other to create our maps and sometimes the houses don’t appear in their exact correct location on the map. This problem only impacts the map itself and not the home facts and Zestimates on the website which is associated with the correct home.
If a home is in the wrong location, we do allow home owners to edit the location of their homes by posting it for sale or creating a "Make Me Move" posting.
Additionally, we appreciate your feedback about the Zestimate values that we provide. We are continuously improving our service that is why we just launched a major algorithm change last week. You can read more here. This change resulted in an improvement of 12% overall.

I just listed 440 Old Field Point in Elkton, MD the zestimate was based on public records which are inacurate. Since the zestimate was given, I have added pics, updated the info on the home making it correct. It has baths and sq feet wrong. This property also has water access, a boat slip, the community has a beach and pavillion. The property also has a barn w/ 6 stalls, tack room, wash out room, large loft, electric and hot & cold water. None of this info is on the public records and the zestimate is way off. I updated all of this info a few days ago. From what I understand in the above article you now include all of this info in your zestimate. I made these changes a few days ago and the zestimate has not changed. How long will it take for the zestimate to be updated?

Zestimate updates are done on a weekly basis now. If you made the changes this week, then the changes should take effect before the end of February.

The maps of home locations are incorrect, your estimate of most of the homes are very wrong. The personal doing the zestimates should be replaced. Extremely poor judement on the owner of this site for posting such estimates. Truely dis!
