Zillow's value for tax estimate is about 30% lower than actual - how to update?

Zip 05602; house Zillow estimated at $129,000, City of Montplier assessed at $156,000 four years ago before major renovations done on the home.  Houses sold on street for $250k - $267k in past year.  State of VT threatens to penalize Montpelier because home assessment are more than 70% below market value.  How to get Zillow updated to at least be close to accurate??

Zestimates are from a computer generated model of the area, using sales data and public data on the houses.   They are not tax assessments, they aren't used by financial institutions.  They are merely a general starting point for learning about house prices and comparisons to neighbors.

If you think your home is unfairly represented, claim the home and provide updates (or factual changes if needed).   If the comps Zillow has chosen are totally off base, chose more representative comps.   Sometime in the new few weeks the system update will reflect your changes.

How will a change in Zestimates change the VT threat of penalty?  Sounds like the city assessors need to get in gear and work on some realistic assessments.
