Hank--I use the showcase ads---this is my first time...signed up for 6 months--we'll see...so far, very little......................action......really not sure if it's worth it!! There are other ways,

I have gotten more opportunity to work with buyers and sellers through simply advice and discussion questions. Just wanted to find someone who said that showcase ads directly brought business.

I got a call from a seller yesterday. We're going to be meeting up for a listing appointment this week or next week. He's under the weather and as soon as he's feeling better, we'll meet up. I've only been on showcase ads for about a month. I've had my ad clicked on quite a few times and this has been my first phone call. This listing will definitely make the cost worth it. Also, my rep was Anthony Van Vactor in Seattle. He was really helpful and made the whole process understandable and easy. As I had questions he was really quick to answer and help me out.

I've found that I'm not getting direct business off my showcase ad but it reinforces what I am doing on the discussion forums and is a nice bullet point for my listing presentations.

I think it's not just about you, it's about the compassion that you show on your posts, even if they are controversial.
Heck, I've been flagged, deleted, and kicked around on these posts by other Professionals who think that the profession of selling homes is a sterile process. It's not, The dynamics of this industry is life a altering experience for a buyer or seller. They will never forget you. It's up to you to make yourself a pleasant memory.
Take a chance, don't worry about someone else's opinion as long as you show you care. Stop trying to be main stream. Do something different. Some of you are afraid that your reputation will be tarnished if you show true passion on these threads. Don't worry. Your true character is what people will look for.

Yes I signed up about a week ago. I received a call from a Seller who found me through the showcase ad and clicked through to my website. They were intrigued and called me for a listing appointment. They interviewed 4 other agents and I was given the listing. So for me....so far it has been very successful!

I started my Showcase Ad two months ago. I have had a few calls from it but so far nothing solid. Mostly quick questions and I have sent a couple listing portals from my MLS. The amount of clicks is high but no lead capture. So I will ride out the summer and hope it pays off.

I really appreciate the comments. It seems however that most come from the West Coast, which I have to differentiate from my market quite a bit primarily due to population and Zillow brand awareness. I would love to hear from others who might be in the southeastern U.S.

As with any advertising, Zillow Showcase Ads should be cross-promoted. Let prospects know where to find you on popular sites like Zillow. Now only do they see your personality, free advice and contributions you give to communities, you have platinum credibility because you're associated with a bigger name. Good Luck to all.

The setup with the Showcase ads is easy and they have gotten over 30,000 impressions in a couple of weeks. They serve a dual benefit. Buyers know we are the resource for the area and gives them an impression before they even click on one of our listings. It will make them more inclined to click. It is already a listing tool we use and something extra that I am providing that my competition is not. It is another way to different yourself and am quite happy with it. We are in a numbers game folks and so far the number of impressions is beyond what I expected. The 100% market factor makes it a no brainer as far as exposure goes. I am in Fort Worth, TX.

My employer has had his showcase ad for about six months, and I update it frequently. We have yet to get a lead off of it, and if anyone has an idea how I can fix this, or what I'm doing wrong, that would be awesome. This is the link to my ad:

It will be very difficult to gauge what kind of action you are getting from an ad such as that. It gives your client's property more exposure but how do you tell if the buyer found the property via your ad? You may be better off trying to advertise a person as some sort of expert in a relevant field.

Every week, we hear positive feedback from agents around the country on how their Showcase ad connected them with prospects they wouldn't have otherwise met.

Love Zillow! I had a $1,295,000 condo for sale in Century City, posted it on Zillow with many photos and the website link. An 80+ year old buyer called me and said he found the house on Zillow and wanted to come see it that day. He came with his wife of 46 years, they both loved the unit and he said he was going to buy it for their wedding anniversary. Fotuntately they did buy it and we closed escrow in 30 days! Zillow works to find real buyers with money at any age. I love using Zillow!
