Zillow does not report accurate information.

I have repeatedly corrected my home information on Zillow's website, and nothing changes.  I do not believe Zillow to be an accurate or reliable tool for checking on home values.

Thanks for your responses -- it's amazing a website like this that realtors and lenders and buyers (unfortunately) look to for information is so misleading and inaccurate.  The house right next to me which has no garage as I and does not have the updates I do is priced higher than mine!  Unbelievable!

The unfortunate thing is that even Zillow tell you it's no good. That its just a starting point to quote what they keep saying on here in answer to similar questions. Now we all know that's absolute twaddle and the sooner they are forced by regulators to stop this monsense the better for all homeowners. Even if they know there are data errors they still refuse to correct or delete the rroneous zestimate. How arrogant is that?

Are you referring to the Zestimate when you say nothing changes?   With substantial home edits (such as changing square footage, or room number), the Zestimate may adjust in response to edits however it takes time.   The last one I monitored carefully was 8 weeks

I know it is frustrating.  Often times I put in a search for a home and the house is not on the map.  The best thing to do is find a reliable real estate agent in your area to help you with accuracy.
