There are several factors that can lead to the reason why the house next door to yours is valued at a higher price. I can better assist you if you send me the address of your home and the house you are comparing it to. Having the exact addresses I can look at the specs on each house and find an explanation for the difference in price.
Zillow estimates my home at $212,000, and the home next door at $260,000. Why such a difference?
The homes are comparable in most ways, the biggest difference is mine is actually a larger home. My home is a custom home on a lot, but the comparisons shown by Zillow is of smaller tract homes on city lots.
