The problem with Zillow and other AVM sites is that they manage data very badly leading to incorrect valuations and frustration like you have outlined. I see that you have claimed your home sometime ago and uploaded pictures. You can also correct the school district and local schools by clicking on the 'more facts' and correcting the information, then saving it so it is at least in the 'text description' for your home.
The bad news it will not change your zestimate which as you well know is nonsense. It is time these BS websites were subject to some form of regulation as they cause chaos and confusion with their erroneous information. Beats me why they can't just correct errors when highlighted by the property owner as you have done.

Zillow has incorrect information on my home and many of the properties in my neighborhood. It states that I have an attached garage. I don't even have a garage. It also lists a school I have never heard of as being in my district. This information does not come from the city's property records so where does Zillow get it from? Clearly there is a problem with accuracy so I am left to believe that I cannot trust any of the info. I read online in my search for a new home.

You can edit home facts on Zillow. BUT, since most of the data comes from public record, make sure your public record data is accurate w/ Oakland County. Your home's value is absolutely NOT determined by Zillow, however, and it is strictly an estimate based on tax record SEV and some recent sales of homes that may or may not be accurate. The true value is determined by the condition of your home, the immediate general market and recent comparable sales in your neighborhood.

How TO CLAIM your home, then EDIT the facts.
Your Zestimate will not change with an additional fireplace or better/worse school district - it simply does not factor that. Your homes reall value will be affected, though, by those factors, and will be reflected if and when you sell your home.
