Your observation is pretty common. Basically Zillow has a flawed algorithm and lousy data integrity which leads to numerous erroneous valuations just like you describe. What is worse is that Zillow refuse to accept any input from homeowners who question such anomalies and I find it hard to understand what, if any reason they have to be so stubborn. Why wouldn't they want their database to have accurate valuations? instead they have millions of incorrect valuations and just cause chaos and confusion in the homes marketplace. Maybe they just attract more users when there is controversy, and therefore higher Ads revenue.
