Klarek, Did you really mean to expose your lack of intellect and education? Without going into a full Deridian (Derridian) deconstruction of your post be advised that a double negative in one sentence is philosophically inept. Do you realise how clumsy "no claims of accuracy that are contrary to what they report" is? Also, I expect you meant dissatisfied instead of "unsatisfied."
I suspect you are the sort of person who has to have the last word. So, reply and you'll have it.
What mina and klarek are saying is that the Zestimates are supposed to be estimates only and Zillow does have some sort of disclaimer. I know that we can not stop some people from still taking them into account but there are other sites that do this as well - so what are you going to do??????

Mina36, What makee you think I want other others on this board to think I am intelligent? Are you confusing intelligence with informed? Anyway, if I was intelligent I would have looked into Zillow before I listed with them. So, since I didn't I acknowledge freely that I am stupid. O.K. now? And, I've since had further proof of that listing on Zillow is unwise. But I won't mention it here, I'll just detail it on the discussion boards of Zillow's competition :-)

I'm curious about why listing on Zillow is unwise. Zillow is the only site that I listed on that allowed me to update the "facts" that they had, place my property at it's correct address, and give my own estimate. Trulia has my property on the wrong plot and will not let me change it. We have a lane and a drive with the same name, Zillow allowed me to correct it, Trulia did not. I have yet to meet an agent that will use any online site as a way to make a comp or to use as a way to make an offer.
I already knew the Zestimates were useless, but now that I've been informed they are "dangerously useless", I'll certainly be keeping my distance. Thanks for the warning.

Your concern for the hopes of would be buyers is touching. Really. It's good to know that would be sellers out there looking to unload their overpriced real estate care about the hopes of would be buyers.
Your concern with Klarek's grammar, on the other hand, is hilarious; especially in light of this gem of yours:

If you're going to criticize someone's post for grammar mistakes, you would look like less of an @ss if you made sure your own posts were perfect.
And speaking of perfect: Zillow isn't perfect, but it's the best real estate website of its kind out there right now. Zillow makes clear that its “Zestimates” are only possible starting points to consider when evaluating real estate. It sounds to me like you are simply venting your frustration -- over the plummeting value of your house and the lack of suckers/buyers willing to take it off your hands at an inflated price -- at Zillow. If your house is priced fairly, you will sell it soon. If not, that's your fault, not Zillow's.

I have just deleted my sales listing from Zillow. In my opinion it is useless to the point of being dangerous for both buyers and sellers. Their Zillow estimates of value give false hopes to would be buyers and hurt sellers. Their estimates seem to be based upon a permutation of the last selling price and the assessed value of adjacent properties less some arbitary percentage some pencil pushing bean counter thinks is appropriate. The foolishness of Zillow's method may judged by my instance. I bought my house 16 years ago. In common with neighbours on my side of the road I have waterfront property - the other side of the road does not. Much of the value of waterfront property is determined by its length on the water. I have twice as much as my neighbors. Houses my side sell much less often than the opposite side and when they do it's for a minimum of four times as much. Zillow, being aware of their inadequacies and knowing they'd be overwhelmed with complaining emails, make next to impossible to contact them. I could go on but I hope you get the picture.
