You can put the appraisal information (idealy with a date of the appraisal) in the comment section for the Zestimate once you've claimed the home. I suspect the reasons that Zillow doesn't accept appraisals for their calculations are many fold but I'm not representing Zillow so don't know what goes on behind the scenes. Appraisals are opinions valid only for a few days after the actual appraisal.

Why don't zillow have something in place to accept Appraisals to be submitted by the owner? We just purchased (built) our house and it's $100,000 Less than the price we paid and the appraisal......

It is very frustrating when agents or brokerages add a house to their listing feed when it isn't for sale. Dealing directly with the responsible party is critical to stop the shenanigans. Zillow can only manually remove it, and it will keep refreshing as for sale when the data feed is active.

Hi herndonstuff -
I understand your home is not for sale. However, if you check your home details page and look for the listing source, you will see that NCI or Realestatebook.com still shows this listing as active. You need to request the previous agent to remove the listing from the source and the posting will come off of Zillow automatically.
As for the Zestimate, it is only an estimate, not the market value of the home and definitely not an appraisal.
Thank you.
