I want to make this formal complaint 1) So I cover myself to show I tried to take care off issue and 2) to hopefully get it fixed with zillow.

There are many agents who use the web host z57. And when you the agent sell a home or put a listing on zillow pulls it from z57. Well I have noticed that when we enter a listing that we are the buyers agent for that home. Zillow will pull it and put us as the listing agent. Even if the status is pending. So what it does is if the listing agent does not have that home on zillow for them self. Zillow automatically thinks you will be the listing agent and without contacting you they are assuming your the agent. This is a bigggggg issue because in the state of Washington you can not advertise another persons listing without their permission. Plus on top of it says we are the listing agent when were not.

This is a huge fine in Washington. So someone on zillow needs to fix that bug. This is not a z57 issue when they have it as pending and it does not say anything about listing agent.

Tk2, this actually is an issue within the Z57 feed. As of right now all of their listings are being sent to us with an "active" status and as a result we have no way of knowing otherwise. To your other point you are correct, we assume that if a listing is syndicated to us via a feed the agent associated with that listing is the listing agent and that the said agent has granted the feed provider explecit rights to distribute the listing on their behalf. If you have a specific example where this is not the case please let me know the details so I can address and resolve the issue.

Thanks,
Brandon
