First of all, thanks for using the site!
What you are requesting actually exists on the site now. When you go a search and get to the map page with filters, notice in the left hand column a "Days on/Sold in last" drop down. This will help you search listings by Days On Market and Solds by time period - up to 12 months.
Also, all Sold data we recieve always lives on the site on the property record page on the Home Info page.

Thanks for responding Sara!
Maybe I'm missing something, or maybe I didn't make myself clear and for that I apologize. But what I'm looking (hoping) to be able to do is basically filter the listed and sold comparables seperately...
If I search a specific area, bring up all the hits and then filter for say, "Days on/Sold in last" 6 months, then it gives me all sales from the previous 6 months (fantastic) and listings that posted to your website WITHIN the last 6 months (negating all listings posted over 6 months ago but still remaining active and on the market).
For example, I was looking in the zip code 80465. Searching for listed/sold comparables with "any" selected in the "Days on/Sold in last" drop down gives me 220 listings, 803 sales. If I filter that to 6 months, I get 129 listings, 145 sales, as all listings with over 6 months marketing time seem to have been filtered out as well.
I'm not sure if it's possible or not, but what I'm looking for is a way to say, get all sold comparables within the last 6 months, while seeing all the listings, even those uploaded to the website greater than 6 months ago.
Thanks for your help!

They presently use the same time field for both. In order to do what you want, you presently need to do two searches; one without the time frame for the "for sale", and the second with the time frame for the "recently sold". There may be reasons to separate the two time frames, but they presently keep them the same for display efficiency reasons. This used to cause a lot of confusion with the sorts before the wording was revised.
It isn't that difficult to revise to do what you desire; it just takes programming time; and as they always tell me, they have a huge long list of priorities for things they want to implement or correct.

In the left hand column, see the red, yellow and blue icons that are sold, for sale and make me move? Would you get your desired results if you checked/unchecked those respective boxes, along with your time range filter?

No he wouldn't since he wants a different time frame for the "for sale" as compared to the "recently sold", and he wants them displayed together.

Got it. Yeah, that is a little beyond what we are able to do right now. I can tell you that this string has been forwarded to right people internally that pay attention to things our users would like to see.
(but you're also right that the list is long, so I can't confirm an eta!).
Thanks for the suggestion.

Zillow search
A change in the search function made a few months ago has raised a concern... I use zillow daily looking for comparables, both sold and listed; I've always liked zillow better than most of the other websites as it covers most areas very well (I look at properties all over the country) and gives me both sold and listed comparables on the same page.
My concern is that now when I specify a time frame, say 6 months, it filters out any listings that have been on the market for 6 months or longer. Is there any way to be able to specify just a time frame for the sold comparables, and still see all listings? More often than not it doesn't cause much of an issue, but in markets where it may be typical for properties to be listed for 6+ months before selling, it makes it somewhat difficult.
I'm sure others would find this beneficial as well, seeing just the recently sold comparables while being able to view the active listings, even with lengthy DOM. Or maybe I'm just hoping for some support so that the zillow folks will consider adding a function like this should it not be an option at this time ;)
