That seems like a great idea. I've never seen it done before. But what you could do is charge the agent for the co-branding inside the Zillow widget on your website. Very clever.

Thank you both for the helpful information. I wonder if you might be able to answer a related question for me. A lot of the websites I've seen the Zillow widgets on are sites from realtors themselves. Are Zillow widgets common outside of that arena? Are they common on websites for, say, local newspapers, like the one I represent? And if so, it seems to me like it might be popular for realtors to buy advertising around said widget. Any ideas if this is done much, done at all, or not to be done at all?

There is some information here on Zillow's API and on co-branding. You might try contacting this person at Zillow here through his profile page. He seems to answer a lot of questions about API and if he can't help, I am sure that he can get your information to the right person/department. Hope it helps.
Zillow widget for a local newspaper's website
I represent a small- to mid-market newspaper in Sandusky, Ohio, and we are currently looking into hosting a local real estate listing widget on our website. I am interested in Zillow because of its opportunities for co-branding. I just can't get a great sense from this Zillow website on how this would work for us. What is the implementation process? What are the revenue possibilities for us in a partnership with Zillow? I'm very interested in the possibilities that Zillow offers, I am just looking for more information on how we can implement the API from our end. If someone could contact me with further details, I would much appreciate it.
