This is a great location that has close freeway access if you commute to work, shopping, schools, businesses, and plenty of community and social events to keep you busy.

Aviano is a spectacular community. Toll Brothers did a great job. I do like that they have basements. Being originally from the midwest where we all have basements, it is a nice change to see here. I live in the Desert Ridge area and absolutely love it. Desert Ridge Marketplace has anything and everything you could imagine, great food, shopping, and entertainment. The address is in fact Phoenix, but Desert Ridge, Aviano, Fireside, and La Verne are minutes from Scottsdale and so close to the 101 freeway you can get anywhere in a matter of 20-30 minutes!

This question was asked over two years ago. However, I must point out that Aviano and Desert Ridge are not in Scottsdale as the last poster stated. It is in northeast Phoenix. I have a client who has been searching for the perfect property in the subdivision of Aviano for over a year. I have noticed that prices have not been falling as dramatically as other parts of the Valley. There are often bidding wars on $500K homes, which shows a lot of buyer interest. Homes in Aviano are often quite well appointed and many have true basements, which is not that common in Phoenix. Toll Brothers is the builder, and they are known as quality builders. Aviano also has a beautiful pool and recreation center.

Desert Ridge is a beautiful upscale area in North East Scottsdale. It is very close to Scottsdale and has easy access to all of the amenities of Scottsdale....but without the Scottsdale prices. Homes are quite affordable and range from $200's to low $1 Millions for custom homes on the golf course. When in Desert Ridge, try out the Blue Martini bar in City North. It is pretty happening.

Desert Ridge is close to shopping, freeways, and good schools. The prices tend to be more competitve than North Scottsdale.

Our friends live there. They have a beautiful home that they payed way too much for- even before the market crash. I generally love Toll Brothers homes, but I hate their floor plan. Too much wasted space.
