if you have substantial asets..there are lenders that will lend as an asset based loan..I currently have a 900K loan going for a gentlemen with 3 million in liquid assets and no job!

Actually, you are forced to be stuck with what you have, as these programs no longer exist. As Carl mentioned, if you are planning a mortgage anytime in the future, you will need to document 2 years tax returns. And even at that, be careful how much you write off so that you show a taxable income that still allows you to qualify. Best wishes!
