have searched city (houston) and internet but can not find a kit. do i need to uninstall and srart over or is it out there? harbor bay farmington is brand.

I ran into a similar problem as home depot stopped selling light kits without the fan here in So Cal.
I walked into lowes and different brand name same product.
I was done wiring it faster than i did looking for it.

Ahh, the creative mind can attach a light to anything! But you may have to modify the receiving canopy, omit the plug, and simply hard wire a light kit of your choice. (Line/blue, White/common.)

Hampton Bay is a brand owned by Home Depot. I would look there first for the light kit. I looked up the Farmington and, as far as I can tell, it is light kit adaptable. The light kits are pretty easy to install. The home depot website is down, but here's a link to the Lowe's page on light kits:
