Hi Colin --
The US is an open economy. You can buy a property anywhere  in the United States. We help foreign investors all the time to buy properties as second homes or rentals.

Here in Northern California, you can buy a nice 3 bedroom home for under $200k in a middle class area with good school district. This can be rented out for $1500-1700 per month. The yield can be very good !

You can also get a home loan to buy an investment  property or a second home. The interest is slighly higher but usually is in the 4-5+% range for a 5 year fixed/amortized over 30 year home loan.

Prices in some areas are 1/2 to 2/3 off original peak prices. So, e.g. a home that used to cost $600k in 2005 can now be bought for approx. $200k.[ website and self promotion deleted by Zillow moderator.  Please review our Good Neighbor Policy for posting guidelines]

Yes, they can. It would be good if you had an international bank like hsbc or RBC or TD bank to go through with your funds.
There is foreign investment in the United States and Canada all the time.

Yes. 請一定要選擇一個房地產經紀人誰講你的語言,以避免誤解,誰理解你的目標。一個好的代理商還可以幫助您找到一個貸款經理理解的要求對外國購買。

We represent Foreign investors all of the time. In Florida most investors do purchase cash. Depending on the type of investment they want to do, Florida has a number of different type of purchase. Central Florida has short trerm rental homes for vacationers, as well as yearly rentals.
The best way to invest , is to decide on an area, find a Realtor interview them, to make sure you are comfortable with them. A professional Realtor will know what is needed in their particular area.

There absolutely is.  Contact me in order to discuss what your criteria would be in an investment property.

Nee Ho Ma. (I hope the spelling is correct for saying hello.

As the other agents have said, yes, you can purchase U.S. property. However, the rules within each state can vary about reporting and controlling the sales of real property to foreign investors, usually just more paperwork. Pick and area, pick a Realtor is the best advice.

Foreign investors can purchase property in the United States. There are no extra charges because you are from Singapore. Non-resident property taxes may be higher. I would suggest you contact a local realtor in the city or area you wish to purchase property.
