My Landlord is increasing my rent $400.00 a month. I currently pay $700.00 amonth, this increase is too much for my budget and is forcing me out of a place to live. I live in a small town where rentals are scarce. Is this legal?  Elko, nv.

More than a 50% increase sure would be a shock.   I can't find any rent caps in the Nevada landlord/tenant rules.  Good luck.
