I have listed and sold many short sales. When I am working with buyers I advise them that is a possiblity. You should leave your options open. Something else better may come along. I try and have my buyers not put down earnest money, it they are forced to by the sellers attorney then I have them have their attorney leave there option to inspect open until banks acceptance. This happens often in this market we are in now. My best advice is to work with a Real Estate Broker that is well versed in the short sales world.
