co-owned, two unit home, one owner occupied - mortgage refinanceIs anyone aware of the requirements to refinance a two-unit home that is co-owned by two people who are not married to one another? Upon purchase 5 years ago, each owner lived in their respective unit. One owner was transferred for work and that unit was subsequently rented out. The other owner still lives in one unit of the home, so it is still "owner occupied," just not by both owners. Should this adversely effect the ability to refinance or the available rates?
