collection of interest payments after a closing????

Has anyone ever heard of a home builder trying to collect on interest payments from a construction loan AFTER closing on a deal. No paperwork involved to show that any arrangements were made with the customer for his not giving the right numbers to the closing /title company and the homeowner and every one else has copies of closing paperwork that says loan is paid off and title was transferred with no liens. Customer made payments to builder on the loan during construction period and thought all was settled at closing since no one had any objections to signing the documents. Please someone set me straight ,but doesnt that mean he should just eat that half of payment Approx $900.00 since he is the one responsible to make sure that His numbers are correct ?Thanks in advance.

talk to a lawyer-  that is a legal question that should not be answered by realtors or mortgage people!
