The Oregonian's weekend community section shows recent sales. Find homes comparable to yours, and you'll get an idea. Also look at nearby homes listed for sale that are in "pending" status. They aren't quite sold, yet, but the price they're listed at has received an accepted offer.

contact a local realtor - be upfront and let them know that you are not yet ready to sell, but that if they help you out with a CMA now you will remember them in the future when it comes time to list

A starting point may be a Zestimate. Click on homes in the top line of this page, enter your address, click on go.
Should you decide to talk to agents about CMAs, along with the number they provide ask them for some background information on their CMAs - for example, of the last 10 they run for sellers putting their house on the market, what was the actual selling price vs the CMA.

Hi Sharon,
Your best bet is to interview two or three realtors who specialize in your neighborhood or area. Developed a relationship over time, so that you can learn to trust them and feel comfortable with them when it is time to list. What area are you in, maybe I could refer someone to you.
