Hi The Mountain Living Team -
Sorry for the confusion.
Here's a video from David Tobey on how to update a listing's status from Zillow.
If this does not help, please let me know. Thank you.

If you still need help, click on My Zillow tab and then you can alter your listings.

You need to select cancel in the edit section.

Make sure you choose the "Cancel Option" Rather than the Edit listing option.

If you haven't done it. My Zillow tab, Listings, from there, you can edit or delete listings.

To Dave Cook, ---> Rachel Rosen has the best answer.
When viewing Your Listings, you have two options. Edit or Cancel. You want to click Cancel. I know it is not intuitive for an Agent to click Cancel when you are only moving it to a Sold status. But the option for Sold will become available in the drop down window. Hope this helps.

Just in case one wanted to read all the home Q&A (7 of them, with 11 responses) for the home referenced in the question created in 2007...
34 Brookside, Hamden CT home Q&A
So, I guess the thread remains a sticky from 2007 (almost 3 years ago) simply because removing a home listing is still not self evident.
And I thought there used to be a link for removing the listing on the home details page too; but I guess that was harder to keep secure than the owners or agent's profile.
Most people think a "cancel" button means to cancel the "changes" or the operation being attempted, not to "remove" a listing.
I think Zillow should consider renaming the button.

Dave,
Choose the CANCEL option, not edit.
Thanks,

Good catch, Pasadenan!
New way to delete:
Go go the Listings section under your My Zillow tab.
choose the Cancel button on the listing.

From there, you'll be asked if the home is no longer for sale, or it is sold.
Choose the appropriate option and SUBMIT.

Why is this thread a "sticky"? It doesn't look like there is general information that most people need to know about. Besides, if it was about how to Cancel a for sale listing, the HDP-3D revision substantially changed the home details page layout and where button were located on that page since Rachel's reference to the "tools" on 12/30/09.

my "edit status" does not allow a delete listing, only a change to "pending". If the home were removed from the market, how would one delete the listing.
